Dr. Kara Foster, OD
Owner, Optometrist, Healthcare Reformer, & Professional Overthinker of Systems
Dr. Kara Foster has been helping patients see clearly and questioning the healthcare system since 2009. After starting in a traditional practice, she built EyeCare for You around a simple idea: care should feel personal, not transactional. As one of the dedicated eye care professionals, she focuses on providing exceptional optometry services tailored to each patient.
She’s also the President of VOSH NC, bringing eye care to underserved communities locally and abroad, and is always looking for ways to make healthcare actually make sense.
At home, she’s outnumbered by three daughters, two cats, and a very busy calendar. She runs (slowly), loves dark chocolate and Thai food, and will absolutely chat with you about travel, musicals, or how to fix healthcare.

Dr. Lauren Woodworth, OD
Optometrist, Dry Eye Detective, & Kid-Friendly Vision Expert
Dr. Lauren Woodworth (SCO, 2008) is dedicated to providing exceptional optometry services, with a strong focus on helping patients feel comfortable, especially in the realm of dry eye treatment and kids’ vision care. As one of the leading eye care professionals, she specializes in dry eye therapies such as ZEST and IPL, along with pediatrics and myopia control.
Residing in Raleigh with her husband, three kids, and two dogs, she embodies the essence of a professional multitasker.
Outside the office, you can find her hiking, baking something delicious, or indulging in a good book.
Favorite foods: Dark chocolate, Indian food, and anything homemade.
Laura
Office Manager, ABOC Optician, & Chief “Let’s Make This Work” Officer
Laura has been an optician since she was 16, so there’s very little she hasn’t seen, fixed, or figured out in the field of optometry services. As an ABOC-certified optician and office manager, she ensures that everything (and everyone) runs smoothly, contributing to the efficiency of the eye care professionals she works with.
She lives in Fuquay-Varina with her husband, their rescue dogs, and spends as much time as possible with her niece and nephews.
Her hobbies are refreshingly honest.
Favorite activities: Eating, napping, and not running.
Robin
Front Desk Administrator & First Impression Specialist
Robin brings over 20 years of customer service experience, often serving as the friendly voice or face that makes patients feel instantly at ease in their visits to eye care professionals.
A UNC-Chapel Hill grad, she lives in Fuquay-Varina with her husband and two kids, and loves family time, travel, and a good shopping day.
She firmly believes mornings should start one way.
Favorite things: That first cup of coffee, mountain drives, and homemade buttercream icing, which she enjoys after a long day at the office supporting optometry services.
Daniel
ABOC Optician & Frame-Fitting Pro
With over 13 years in the field and ABOC certification, Daniel, an experienced eye care professional, knows how to help patients find glasses that actually work and look good doing it. His expertise in optometry services ensures that each patient receives personalized attention.
When he’s not in the office, he’s spending time with his daughter, hanging with family, or walking his very large (and very lovable) German shepherd, Amos.
